Niagara Falls is a set of massive waterfalls located on the Niagara River, straddling the international border separating the Canadian province of Ontario and the U.S. state of New York. Niagara Falls is comprised of two major sections separated by Goat Island: Horseshoe Falls, mostly on the Canadian side of the border and American Falls on the United States side. The smaller Bridal Veil Falls also is located on the American side, separated from the main falls by Luna Island. Niagara Falls were formed when glaciers receded at the end of the Wisconsin glaciation and water from the newly-formed Great Lakes.

The Bruce Peninsula lies between Georgian Bay and the main basin of Lake Huron. It extends roughly north-northwestwards from the rest of southern Ontario, pointing towards Manitoulin Island, with which it forms the widest strait, the Main Channel, joining Georgian Bay to the rest of Lake Huron. The peninsula is part of the ridge known as the Niagara Escarpment. From an administrative standpoint, the Bruce Peninsula (often referred to locally as just "The Bruce") is part of Bruce County, which is named for James Bruce or Lord Elgin, Governor General of the Province of Canada.

The City of Ottawa is the corporate entity of municipal government in Ottawa. The corporation is responsible for provision of services to the public as well as enforcement of municipal by-laws. It is overseen by the City Manager, and responsible to the Mayor of Ottawa and City Council. Emergency and Protective Services is responsible for Ottawa Fire Services , paramedics, and emergency preparedness in Ottawa. It also provides key links between the City of Ottawa and the Ottawa Police Service. Corporate Services provides the necessary administrative backbone for the City of Ottawa's operations.

The CN Tower, located in Toronto, is a communications and tourist tower standing 553.33m (1,815 ft 5 in) tall. Since its completion in 1976, it has been the world's tallest free-standing structure on land. The Tower attracts more than two million international visitors annually. CN originally referred to Canadian National, the railway company that built the tower. Following the railway's decision to divest non-core freight railway assets, prior to the company's privatization in 1995, the CN Tower was transferred to the Canada Lands Company a federal Crown corporation responsible for real estate development.
