Just how often, however, does it happen?
In order to conduct some basic "straw poll", I would ask members of this site to log just how many times they hear this phrase in a single week.
It is quite easy to do, particularly if you have read this far:
Now that the phrase is in your head, you will immediately notice it when it crops up (and, believe me, you will be sitting watching a movie/TV show that you might have seen on numerous occasions without having noticed it before and suddenly....BAM!)
Each time you hear it, mark it down with pen or pencil and paper in a "five bar gate" style.
At the end of the week, tot up how many times you have heard it and post here.
As an added advantage, this is a game all the family can play - it even crops up in childrens' films/shows
