MrW, I agree with the "One Day In the Life of Ivan Denisovich" it was exactly how I had envisoned life in a "Gulag". I also agree that "British" made films tend to stick to the original books more closely than Hollywood

I think it depends on where the movie was made. If it's a Hollywood blockbuster, then you just know that they are going to take liberties with the story to 'gloss it up', so you're possibly better off seeing the movie first. On the other hand, I read
